Metal roofing started as sheet metal work for us. When Dick and Bob Bernecker founded the company in 1949, they ran a roofing and sheet metal business out of a one-car garage in North College Hill. Metal has been part of our trade from the start. A metal roof sheds rain and snow well, and the panels, seams, flashing and fasteners all matter to how it performs. Details like where the roof meets a chimney, a wall or a valley are where leaks usually begin, so we spend our time there.
