Gutters and the roof work together. When a gutter pulls away from the fascia, sags, or spills over at a corner, water ends up behind the gutter, on the siding, and around the foundation. Over time it can also reach the roof edge and the soffit. We look at the whole run before we recommend anything. Sometimes a gutter only needs to be rehung and re-secured. Other times a section is worn out and should be replaced. We check the slope, the fasteners, the seams and where each downspout drains, and we tell you what we find. We can send photos so you can see the problem yourself. Because we are a roofing company, we pay attention to how the gutter meets the roof edge and what the shingles are doing above it. ## Common questions

Can you rehang a gutter instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. If the gutter itself is sound and only the fasteners or the fascia hold have failed, rehanging is a reasonable repair. We will tell you if the metal is too worn to be worth saving.

Do you handle gutters and roofing in one visit?

We can look at both during the same estimate, since the gutter edge and the roof are connected. That helps us spot problems at the roof line that a gutter-only visit would miss.
